There are many different types of stains and many different types of preferred cleaning methods. To help with this, create a chart listing the best way to handle each type of stain you may encounter. Hang it on the wall in the laundry room, so you can easily refer to it when needed.
Try adding a drying bar to your laundry room. You can use a bath-towel holder or curtain rod mounted underneath a shelf to hang a row of shirts that have a tendency to shrink. This can also help save time when ironing, as you can hang your pressed garments after you’re through.
